Large-group centres run a set curriculum at the lowest price per hour — strong for building routine, weakest for a child with a specific gap. The questions that matter
Who exactly will teach my child, and what is their qualification in this subject? What is the group size? How do you measure progress, and what do I see each month? Is there a trial session? A centre that answers with names and specifics is a different business from one that answers with brochures.
Red flags
Multi-year contract pushes on day one; vague answers about who teaches; group sizes that keep growing after you enrol; no written progress reporting; and pressure to start "right now." Good centres have waitlists, not countdown timers.
On price
We are not going to quote average prices — they vary too much by subject, level, and format for an average to be honest. Instead, get each quote as a monthly all-in number (tuition, materials, assessments, registration) for a named group size, and compare those. Two centres that look $100 apart are often identical once the extras are counted.
