Markham Farmers' Market — Saturdays in Main Street Unionville
Every Saturday May through October, 8 AM to 1 PM. 40+ vendors, mix of produce, baked goods, prepared foods, and crafts. Best arrival: 9 AM (beat the crowds, vendors still well-stocked).
Markham Train Station Farmers' Market — Sundays
Newer market launched in 2024. Sunday mornings May through September, 9 AM to 1 PM. Smaller but with strong organic produce vendors.
Markham Asian Night Market — Friday/Saturday in summer

What's in season
June: strawberries, asparagus, rhubarb, early lettuces. July: cherries, blueberries, garlic scapes, peas. August: peaches, plums, tomatoes, corn, beans. September: apples, pears, squash, root vegetables.
Tips for first-time visitors
Bring cash (most vendors take cards now, but lines move faster with cash). Bring a tote bag. Start with a coffee and a walk before buying — get the lay of the land. Buy perishables last.
